Why am I Doing This?

I was just re reading Michael Dlouhy’s e book “Success in 10 Steps”. I came across a concept that eluded me for many years.

I couldn't’t nail down my “Why”.

(Probably because I never took the time to think about it.)

Why am I doing Network Marketing?

This, for me anyhow, was such a crucial first step.

I struggled with this for years. …Why?

Yes, sure, financial freedom and time freedom. But those are a bit vague.

Then I asked myself, “Why am I currently doing the job I’m doing?”

To be honest, I didn’t know the answer to that either. I just kind of fell into it. I was a rudderless ship. Any port I drifted into was home.

I didn’t like the sound of that.

But up until now that’s how I’ve always lived my life.

In school, in the military, in my career.

But not in my Network Marketing career!

Why do I do Network Marketing?

What is the driving force that keeps me striving for success in this field?

Michael asks the question in Chapter 2.

And here are some questions that will help you figure out your "why".

-What gets you REALLY excited?

·How many hours a week do you work?

·What do you LOVE about your job?

·What do you HATE about your job?

·What do you do with your free time?

·If you had 2 months vacation and all the money you wanted, what would you

do?

·How do you like the people you work with?

·What problem scares you to death that more money could solve?

·What do you just absolutely HATE about your life that more money could solve?

·If you had all the money you needed, what HUGE problem would go away?

·If you had all the TIME in the world to do anything you wanted, what would you

do?

·Other than money, what are you looking for?

And of course having your “Why” is important, but it’s just the start.

But having done this, you will have a firm grasp in your mind and won’t let anything make you quit.

And that’s the one sure way to fail in this industry.

Get your “why”, and then start learning some skills, then apply those skills and then help others do the same.

Howdy Leroy!

Why we do anything is important for us to ask ourselves. Most people do not have the slightest idea why they do what they do. Maybe habit or maybe even tradition. Nailing your "WHY" in network marketing is a must if there's going to be real success. Thanks for the wonderful post!

Why, Why, Why... This is without a doubt a key piece for any thing that we decide to do in life. I very success depends on it. Not just in Network Marketing but all aspects of life.

Thanks,
Ashley

Love the graphics. I understand the 'why' factor, like you I was vague about why i wanted to do this. I now have my why, have my daily motivational speech that I say to myself saved on my computer screen so I can't lose it and get confused about 'why' I'm doing this.
